Do you have a lucky number? Why is it lucky?

According to books on numerology my lucky number is 9 - as for me, well I havent seen any luck floating around on the 9th - and 9 hasn't seemd to jump out at me and tell me I am lucky.
But number 13 - well this one is eally working as the day to watch out for.
Today, the first work phone call came at 7am. Something had happened with one of my staff that was so unusual and almost bizarre. Conversations, meetings and phone calls regarding this issue took me to lunch. Day was almost gone before I had even checked my work emails.
I made the simplist of meals for dinner tonight as the last Friday 13th I managed to destroy my microwave when I tried to cook rice with no water. Have you ever seen a molten black mass through the glass window of your microwave. the best I could do was drop the microwave oven is the rubbish bin and buy another.
So I think it prudent to remind ourselves of nature at work. Our grandson is staying with us through the school holidays and attending a Vacation holiday programme. They are hatching chickens at the recreation centre and my photo is of two of the chicks just 24 hours old.

What do you think UFOs are? Do you believe in little green men?

A change of pace this month. To me UFO means "Un Finished Objects". That means the 6 or more scrapping albums sitting near my computer, the unfinished cross stitch I have in my embroidary box, the two unfinished bears I am making and the unfinished crochet projects I have on the go, 5 of them in fact.

I do not believe in little green men but do have an open mind about it - I mean I avidly watched x Files but still wasnt convinced. Roswell has hit another high the last day or so with a signed document by a man who saw a flying saucer in 1947 but has since died.

What I don't understand is why cant we discover them now with all the advances in technology, but they were seen in the forties????????????. Pst - can you hear THAT music??????

Here in Western Australia we have been having almost a week of severe storms and gale force winds. My photo today is of the estuary that is normally about 4 feet lower. Today it was lapping the edges of the pavement. It took some doing to keep the camera still in the wind and putting up with wet feet.
