Simplify life. We all have them, those household items that we purchase for one thing and then end up using them for another. What items do you have that serve double duty?

Thought about this for a while as I have been using some things on double duty for years. It just seems natural and sensible now.

Lets see - the wok. A wok is a sort of frying pan that is used in asian cooking - which all aussies do these days. Well why buy a fry pan, or a stew dish. I cook stew in it, fry in it, stir fry food, do spaghetti meatballs in it, chilli chicken etc. One wok saves on about three other kitchen implements in my view - saves water and storage - must also help prevent climate warming in some way. I mean - its a universal kitchen implement.

Same as the kangaroos that live around us - if I cant find a photo to take for the "Photo a Day" challenge at DSP, I drive around and find a kangaroo to photograph. Have a look at this young one - he is about 9 months old. I have photographed himbefore drinking from his mothers pouch.Isn't he beautiful.

This was really cute because I use a big pot instead of a wok for the same reasons you use a wok instead of a pot! LOL Love the photo!

I envy you girl with all that beautiful nature where you live. I would love to see your country. But, you do have some really deadly stuff there to.

I love my wok also.

Doesn't save me much on storage space, I have three of them, LOL. And I, too, use them for everything from steaming, frying (don't do that much though), spaghetti sauce; you name it I have probably fixed it in my wok.

Great picture.

I love the photo of the kangaroo.

I have my frying pan that I do my stirfrying in & use it the same way as you use your wok.

I have a heavy duty Bessemer Wok Joan. And it pretty much is my only cooking pot. I cook practically everything in it.
