Here is some more public art - I found this cow in a West Australian country town called Mingenew, This town has a sense of humour, you can see it from the murals and "art" around the town. The artist has used the rusted corrogated tin to advantage, the cow seems to be starring right at you as if surprised to see you there.
This was found in a small park area dedicated to the pioneers of the area.

Another piece of art showing the humour of the resdidents of the area:

I found this mural on the side of the local tennis club building and  found this information from the shire about these emus: " A fun picture of emus (which used to be plentiful in the area)Some very odd sights are seen playing on the courts during the summer months anyway. It is a painting for the community to enjoy, and guess the names of each emu. So the story goes - A long, long time ago, in a place named Minganu - ant's nest or Mininoo- place of many waters, lived a band of Emu's. They loved nothing better than to hit tightly rolled up grass to each other with mallee sticks. Over the years their ghostly forms have been seen on the lush green courts where the Tennis Club now stands. In honour of these pioneers, we have brought them to life, to stand guard forever and oversee the goings on, by that merry band of tennis addicts."

This is why I reckon this town has a sense of humour - I mean, can you imagine finding this at Wimbleton?
