Road Trip – Day 2

We woke up early at Lake King and by 8am we were on the road again. In this part of the state there are long distances

between towns and we only passed through a couple. One was a roadhouse and a few houses and the other was Ravensthorpe, a mining town these days. It was here I found another hotel to photograph to add to my collection. Another hotel called “The Palace” hotel. (I have a photo of a Palace hotel in Wagin). This made me wonder why hotels are often called The Palace, The Federal or The Railway hotel???.

We arrived at Esperance around lunch time and found the “Bathers Paradise” Caravan Park. We have a nice shady spot (In the afternoons) and sit out under the annexe thinking what” the poor people are doing.”

Esperance prides itself on its white beaches and they are beautiful. It is hard to work out the best time to photograph them Here is a shot of the town beach. Kugan loved his swim here. (On a lead of course).
