Road Trip – Day 96 (19 June)

Well the trip has finished. We have arrived home with the rain. We were going to make some side trips along the way from Carnarvon but the weather was not good so we decided to head straight home.

Our last night was spent at the S Bend Caravan Park, just south of Geraldton. It was a great park with lush green lawn. Kurgan was so happy to be on grass again. apparently it is a good place for fishing and I saw these guys going with their human down to the ocean for a bit of a swim.

We left S Bend Caravan Park about 7.30 am and aimed for home, the lure of a big bed to sleep in convincing us not to stop for long anywhere.

South of Dongara a lot of the bush had been burnt by a bush fire.

By 2pm we were home and relieved to find our house was OK and still had its roof. thanks everyone who has been following my travel blog. We have enjoyed our time away and meeting new people along the way. We have enjoyed seeing all the new things we hadn’t seen before and the awesome sights we experienced. Australia is so big and diverse that there are many spectacular things to see, and we have only seen half of Australia. The other half we hope to explore in a couple of years.
