Reluctantly we left hogwash Bend and pointed the vans eastwards towards Renmark. We saw acres and acres of grape vines, fruit trees mixed in with farming.
Here in Renmark we are staying at a caravan park for a couple of days while we have a look around. Our first sighting of a Macdonald’s Burgers since leaving home 5 weeks ago. After setting up camp we all went and had a bit of a look around. We had heard of a fantastic river side free camp but as they forecast rain tomorrow we thought it wise to be in a caravan park.
From our caravan we can watch the houseboats glide past on the Murray River and also watch the local wild life. So far I have seen a number of different birds and while walking to the shower block I walked within a metre of 4 kangaroos. As I passed the BBQ/camp kitchen, some one pointed out the possum up in the rafters of the roof.
