Today we were supposed to take our caravan into the repair shop to get a couple of things repaired – things that could not be done in Port Pirie, South Australia. staff away sick caused the hiccup and so we are staying an extra day.
Denise, John & I went on the Bendigo Tram for a trip around town. These great old forms of transport are a wonderful way to see the place as you can hop on and hop off as you like.
Lance picked me up and we went to Lake Weeroona to have his long awaited Hot dog from the hot dog Man who has a caravan in the Lake’s car park. As I am allergic to the red colouring of the hot dog, Lance had my hot dog while I had a vegetarian hot dog. I must say there is a reason I am not a vegetarian and that reason was why I felt I had just ate spoon full of sour cream and avocado with some potato crisps on top. YUK!.
We decided to have a Roast dinner day so while I cooked a Roast Beef, Denise cooked a roast Lamb. We had both bought these joints of meat at a fantastic little butcher at Warooka on the York Peninsula, South Australia.
Just as we were going to put the vegetables on, John decided he wanted cabbage and drove down to Woolworths to get one. while he was there we decided we also needed a sweet potato so Denise phoned John to get one. He was lined up for checkout so left the line to get our sweet potato.
After finishing off the birthday cake it was time to waddle back to our caravan for the night.
