Another day In Bendigo . . ……day 57

20 May 2014

I was too lazy to download the few photos I took yesterday of our tram trip so here are the two of us on board the old tram. These trams have been running as tourist attractions since the 1970’s.

Well I jumped out of bed this morning eager to pack up the caravan to take to the repair man. Actually I lie - ------ I slowly got our of bed, fed Kurgan, got breakfast and commenced our pack up routine so that we could take the caravan to the repair man. We were the first of 3 caravans that came from the Gold Nugget Caravan Park.

We waited and Michael from Palms Caravan Repairs came out with the spare part he had ordered  to put into our hot water system. This was to be a 10 minute job or so we thought.

The wrong part had arrived!   The we turned our attention to the leaking tap on our vanity basin . . . . Michael thought he might had a replacement in stock but again no luck. We got back to the caravan park and started the process for camping. We sat around discussing what a pain it was and what our options were. We have decided to stay longer in Bendigo and try to get the repairs done.

This reminded John to ring the Refrigeration Company to come out and have a look at his caravan air conditioner that developed an “E4 Error”. Lance & I stayed around to watch the excitement around John’s van for a change. If you want to know, an E4 error means the unit is out of gas caused by a small hole.

Now it was lunch time and Denise surprised us with Vanilla Slices she had made using waffle biscuits instead of pastry. These are very definitely not what I should be eating. We certainly are not starving.

Our sunset was the first we had seen for some days that was worth picking up the camera._MG_0202web

By the way, as Lance and I were driving past Lake Weeroona, a couple of days ago we heard the Sulphur Crested Cockies flying over the lake. We have seen these birds at every place we have camped since Oororoo in South Australia.
