We are still in Ipswich as we wait for our new sway bars for the caravan to arrive in Ipswich. How I wish sales people for be upfront with you and tell the truth. Salesman tells Lance he will order the sway bars immediately and they will be here Monday lunch time.
He rings today at lunch time and tells us the courier has messed up and he is not sure when they will arrive. Next phone call is the Queensland distributor telling us that the bars were arriving in Brisbane this afternoon and would be couriered straight to Ipswich. Lets hope this guy was straight with us.
Yesterday we drove up to Wivenhoe Dam, about 20 kms from Ipswich in the Lockyer Valley. Wivenhoe Dam is South East Queensland’s largest water storage and is the main supply of water for Brisbane and the greater Ipswich area. It is also a very popular recreation destination..
This is part of the popular picnic area.
It is a huge dam and a long drive across.
The spillway is enormous and you can imagine how much water flowed through here in 2011.
This morning, Monday, Kurgan and I stepped outside the caravan to see this heavy mist.
Lets hope the sway bars arrive tomorrow and we can keep heading south.
