Tamworth………………………Day 180

50 days left of our journey.

A cold night last night but it was warmer than the previous night with  – 1 degrees overnight. a beautiful sunny day and we headed off to the Golden Guitar and the museums.

We had a look around the Don Bradman Museum before driving up to the top of the Oxley Lookout. what a fantastic view of Tamworth._MG_0003web

Coming back down from the lookout we pulled up next to these dogs in a ute..

We went to the Pet Barn where they have a dog wash inside the shop. Kurgan loves his bath until it comes to the dry blow which he dislikes. So Kurgan went through the shop still wet and accepting all pats offered by staff.

At happy hour we were discussing birds and commented that the kookaburra hadn’t appeared when suddenly he flew down and landed on the electricity pole between our vans. He was offered meat and he eventually came within a couple of feet of us.

A new day and a new place tomorrow.

Hi Joan. Sorry I missed you. I did not know you were here until late yesterday afternoon and we had a function to go to last night so it wasn't convenient to call around at that time. This morning I went out to the caravan park only to find that I had just missed you! If you are travelling down the Sydney road, call at the First Fleet Park at Wallabadah. I took photos there for essee a few years ago.

The time displayed is wrong above...if it had been that time, I would not have missed you. I have just arrived back home and was at the park at about 10.15 :)
