What is your definition of 'success'? Do you know any 'successful' people who inspire you? this is todays prompt - big sigh as I think.

To me success is what people have achieved - it is not about money or material things. You don't hear a successful person telling you how sucessful they are - they know and that is all that matters. I heard today of a person who has to tell his girfriend how much he has spent on her. Who is he trying to convince? Is he successful as a human being? Does he have compassion? Does he care? To me a sucessful person is someone who has suceeded as a human being.

A man yesterday in Melbourne Australia, bought a building to give back to the war vetrans who had to sell that very building as they were getting too old to raise money for its upkeep. It is theirs to use for as long as they want it. Now THAT is a succesful person.

My photo today is of the sunset just a couple of hours ago.

You are exactly right!! A successful person doesn't have to tell you about his money or what he has accumalated. The knowledge you obtain is more than any amount of money.

It drives me crazy when people brag about stuff like that. My mom used to say "all talk and no action." My dream someday is too have lots of money to give an anonymous scholarship to people going into the teaching field. Who knows, maybe someday.

Absolutely agree with you on defining success. It should be about how you feel. And if you have to remind people about it then you obviously don't feel you have achieved it.
And that is one killer photo.
