Road Trip – Day 11 (26 March)

Today we left Fowlers Bay, after a 2 day stop over. I am having to put the dates on this blog as I am forgetting where we are up to.

We got on the road and headed for Ceduna as our next place to stop and stretch our legs. We passed through Penong which seemed to have windmills everywhere.

Onwards to Ceduna where we had to pass through the quarantine check point. Luckily we had pooled all our fruit & vegetables for our evening meal last night and had a great meal. A couple of other caravaners joined us and we had quite a large and noisy group for a while. The quarantine officers just checked what we had in the fridge but when they got to Viv and Erics caravan, when they opened the fridge, Viv’s jar of beetroot juice fell on the floor and went everywhere.

Ceduna is a centre for the wheat industry and we saw some very large farms along the way. We stocked up on food and visited in first bakery in ages for some good old fashioned pies for lunch on the foreshore.
