Road Trip – Day 23 (April 7)

After such a windy day yesterday it was nice to wake up to NO wind. Still cool & cloudy though. All but Lance went into the town to check out the local markets being held in the beer garden of the hotel. Not a large market but the lady selling cakes, jams and pickles did very well from the many caravan people that were there. I picked up Mulberry and Apple Jam which I will try out tomorrow morning. We all came away with food items. Below are Carol, Viv & Denise checking out some craft items.

As the markets didn’t take long to check out we went back to the Bakery to check out their cappuccino and cakes.

Viv wanted it pointed out that she & Eric did not buy cakes.

After filling our faces with calories, John & I decided to see if the farmer we had visited yesterday was home. Yes, more tractor photos ( and old cars). The farmer kindly allowed us to go down to the scrap heap in one of his paddocks where we saw many old cars, old tractors and old farm machinery. The farmer said he had always lived on the farm so I imagine his grandparents would have used some of the machinery. Carol & Alan followed us, and John & Alan had a enjoyable time discussing and identifying the old cars etc.

Here is Alan checking out an old CASE tractor

This car reminded me of a beetle on its back.

A lazy afternoon back at the caravan park where we found we had new neighbours.
